Fields of yellow sunflowers gazing at the sun high up in a bright blue sky, rolling hills as far as the eye can see framed with tall Cypress trees… the epitome of a stylish Italian destination wedding, full of exotic European charm… the stage is set for Amanda & Shane’s Big Day.
Just a few hours down the road from their home town of Chamonix, where many of the wedding guests were travelling from, in classic wedding style there were dramas with road traffic delays, scorching heat, and flowers that almost didn’t make the journey, but with surprises like Bridesmaids arriving from New Zealand, friends and family travelling from the States – love and friendship was what made this wedding day truly memorable and a joy to capture.
This idyllic wedding venue had it all; fabulous stone house (with a nice cool cellar!) complete with stunning backdrop & courtyards. The wedding party were busy ensuring the ceremony took place where its guests were covered by as much shade as possible, in the mere 40degrees expected during the ceremony, shade was most definitely our friend on this wedding day.
Once the ‘I do’s’ were made official, the infinity pool, signature Italian cuisine and Aperol Spritz were in full flow!
The evening entertainment boomed with life, with incredible energy of the band from Chamonix, and the cherry on top as a wedding photographer, I was gifted the opportunity of a fire dancing act, capturing the movement of the flames and the patterns it creates whilst simultaneously getting the reactions of the crowd was a challenge I relished and the results of which, the bride and groom loved.
